Introduction to Little Mozarts Introduction to Little Mozarts Age 3 (must be born before 9/1/16) Does your child enjoy playing on grandma's piano or trying out a tune on a sibling's keyboard? This class encourages that curiosity and is a perfect introduction to the piano for preschool children. The classes are specially designed to be age-appropriate, fun and engaging. Class sizes are kept small so that students receive maximum attention from one of our highly trained piano instructors. In this four-session Zoom class, young students will be gently introduced to the piano through songs, games, and other activities. Students will cover high and low sounds, loud and soft sounds, moving up and down the keyboard, and finger numbers. Meetings twice per week will include singing, dancing and piano activities, as well as a chance for parents to ask questions. Students will be asked to complete short workbook and comprehension exercises between meetings and submit them via our Google classroom for individualized feedback. Meeting times will be the same as those listed in the catalog for in-person classes, however, because of their virtual nature, will be 20 minutes in length rather than 30. Parents are encouraged to use the remaining 10 minutes working independently with their child to complete workbook and comprehension exercises. Camp kit includes Music for Little Mozarts Workbook 1, crayons, themed plush toys and a t-shirt. Students should have their own keyboard or piano, or regular access to one of these. Because of the short introductory nature of this class, there will not be a final performance showcase. Parents are encouraged to register their child for the Fall year-long Little Mozarts Class if their child continues to show curiosity toward the piano! (less) ... Read more
